The whole back half had already been stripped and only had 1 coat of primer. So, I started sanding that off to make sure ther were no suprises. Then took my spare bumper that I need the inside support bracket for apart and sanded on it. And, oh yeah. Tomorrow, I'll be sanding!

Dude!! not this one. She did the entire interior. Re-dyed and re-upholstered the seats. Woman is A+,(So glad you brought this up) She really did a quality job. Not that I'm proud or anything. :p
I showed the pics of your wife re-doing your interior (nice job by the way) to my wife who is always complaining that I spend to much time on the car.

i was trying to convince her that she needs to learn how to do body work so she can spend more time with me.

I pulled the drivers door off and started sanding the crappy paint job, the guy I hired had painted over rust I have never seen anyone do work like he did. He even painted over the old door seal..or what was left of it. I learned a good lesson from this, and it only cost me $1200.00 and some paint. He filled the rust pinholes with seam sealer....I had to sandblast the door and cut the rust out....like he said he would do.

If you paid him 1200 for a paint job you should have known better. I had a BIL in the business do mine and it was over $2500 for the paint job. I know it cost allot more for others.

Ah, the gf is complaining of not being able to do any body work on the car due to the needy brats that are our kids. Hopefully that will be resolved once we move to our new place which has a garage and I can move the car from her parents' place. :p

Decided not to do too much with the car today. 9/11, Niners vs Seahawks game (I'm a Niners fan btw, was able to catch the past bit of the game ), and the need to get stuff put together for our move. So I pretty much got the vacuum hoses hooked up, cleaned up some wiring in the engine bay and removed extra wiring that the PO put in for some strange reason and corrected it, and lowered the car off of the jackstands on to all four so that we can roll it to the car transport when we do the big move on the 24th. :D

Pulled the vinyle top off, worked on removing some more undercoating and finished sanding the DS rear quarter. Looked up prices on some of the panels I'm going to need.

Rich, you're in enemy territory! We were catching up (even though Tarvaris Jackson is a career backup) and then we had that special teams meltdown .

Next time....

BTW, I live in Colorado but I was born and raised in Auburn, WA.

Decided to work on the other car this evening. Took the trim off around the windshield (thanks Steve tool worked great). Piano wired around the windshield like I watched the other fellow do. And it took less than 1 minute for "If you can't hit it with a sledge hammer, you shouldn't be touching it" to crack the good glass. Drinking beer now! I'm such an idiot!

Well engine and trans are in and all bolted up, stall converter all bolted in, new plug wires. Need to replace the oil pressure guage line got kinked. The end is now in sight. Looking real good. Before Roy gets to reply:worthlesswithoutpics:

Will have pics tomorrow.

Oh man, that sucks big time!!!! Was it the piano wire trick that did it, or too much pressure? I'm going to get the special tool to remove the windshield.
