Definately too much pressure. When it started moving I guess it just wasn't willing to move as fast as me. That's why the last car I paid a guy to come take it out and put it back in. You can be sure he'll be taking out the rear window.

Rich, you're in enemy territory! We were catching up (even though Tarvaris Jackson is a career backup) and then we had that special teams meltdown .

Next time....

BTW, I live in Colorado but I was born and raised in Auburn, WA.
Lol, no kidding! :D My gf gives me the evil eye during these games. :dodgy: <-evil eye As for my boss and coworkers, man I never heard the end of the complaints. I don't blame them, your defense was held us down pretty damn good. :p

I think the Niners will be in town during Christmas. Looking forward to a good game in the spirit of competition. :D

Ran all of the wires for the stereo and speakers. Screwed with the ram air system and determined I only have 1/2"......of clearance that is. Oh ordered the LED kit for the guages, the various dash lights and the map light. Have to buy the rest later. Have to sell more of my old stuff first.

The rear window was pretty easy in mine to remove. Popped off the trim then used a box cutter to cut away the rubber around the glass. Once the rubber was cut away as much as possible it lifted right out. Haven't tried that trick yet on a windshield...sounds like I need to be extra careful though.

Thundertc64,

Nice job on those covers

I happened to notice the PVC frame I wrap with plastic and store my wifes outside plants in the winter.

I'm thinking it will make a good media blast cabinet as well. I'm going to pull the car forward just out the door and cover 3 sides and the top. We'll see tomorrow. BTW leg height is adjustable depending on which part of car I'm working on. Tomorrow is strictly front end

Perhaps it isn't what I did to the car, but what I am trying to do for it. I have been all over the phone and internet searching for 4V heads for my engine!

Mr. Mac you just didn't ask the right people. I have an extra set of 4v heads Patt no. D1AE. I will PM pics of them to you tomorrow. They have been all cleaned up. They are the quench heads. Let me know if you are intrested.

Thanks Mark, I was going to go black and leave the fins and letters brushed aluminum, the way they are supposed to be. but i got to thinking i wanted something different so out came the blue :D Thought about painting the fins blue but i think that would take away from the look of them. I like the idea you have there, sometimes we have to improvise

Now I don't know if it was the "Come to Jesus" meeting about holding up the media blasting, or the sound of me sharpening those scrapers on the grinder. But that undercoating sure seemed like it came off easier tonight. Thanks for the advice Roy, Tnfastback.

Decided my car needed a few extra horses.

Bought two Mach 1 door panel badges, cut the prongs of the back of them and attached them to my standard door panels with a tiny bit of silicon rubber cement (so I can easily remove them without door panel damage should I decide that it's just too much bling).

Can you tell a difference in performance? :D

No, honestly, that looks good. I might steal that idea....

Oh, yeah, what did I do to my car? Nothing really, just drove it to work today.

I caught myself checking out new rims. Just browsing and comparing. I hope I`m not having a relapse of WAS (Wheel acquiring syndrome). Please don´t let it be WAS!!!

So! Since there is no cure for WAS other thanspending some money to decrease the pain. Which ones did you decide on?

I'm far from taking any kind of decision yet, but something makes me look at what`s on the market.

If (and that`s a big "IF") I get new rims they will most likely be the Torq Thrust type again. There are so many suppliers that offer those with a little personal twist.

And I think that except for the Magnum 500 wheel there is no rim that suits those cars better than the classic 5 spoke design. But, as I don´t wanna go back to 14 or 15 inch the Mags are out of question.

Right now, I like these (probably with the optional gunmetal finish on the spokes):

Did some rust removal on the floorpans and the interior roof. Tomorrow going to clean and rustbullet the roof, and maybe some of the floorpan area.

Now, a question: I know I have to remove the roof support to de-rust under that, but what about the support around the windshield? Should I do the rustbullet-sponge trick? The only way to really get in there would be to completely cut that area out and then weld it back in...and I don't have the $$$ for that at the moment. It looks like it's just some surface rust in there. same with under the passenger seat platform, some surface rust but nothing really huge. Probably drill out the spot welds on the seat platform though and do it right.
