image.jpgNext order of fun will be to make a custom tail light panel to fit my new lenses.

Sounds good. I'm going with these 7" black headlights with the angel eyes. You can find a large selection on - topgearautosport.com
I have a set of these on my Mustang, they had a good fit and were very easy to wire up. I linked the halo ring to my front running lights so they run without the headlights on. The only complaint I had was that the bulbs that come with them for the halo were very weak, I replaced them with a wide angle high intensity LED bulb (194 if I remember correctly). Mine arent the black background, but I like them a lot! Great progress and I am digging that grille a lot!

Thank you for the compliment on the grill surround and for the heads up on the bulbs. Are you referring to the yellow grill lights as running lights?

image.jpgNot the best picture but I think these tail lights were made to fit this body style.

image.jpgI noticed that In order to get them to look right they're going to have to sit at almost 45 degrees to the surface. They need to touch across the top but the bottom needs to be about 1-1/2 away from the surface so I'm going to have to design the tail light panel that way and still have it look right around the gas cap area.

I wonder if you can use yellow halo lights as turn signals?
They make yellow LED lights that work as turn signals with almost a halo. More like two bracket since it doesn't make a full circle.

Well, yes I believe they would work as well. However my factory grill did not have the yellow lights in it, they have the parking (running) lamps in the front valance. Oh and a heads up, I replaced the H4 bulbs that came with those headlights yesterday with LED bulbs.... Holy crap what a difference! The picture below shows the halogen bulb on the passenger side and the LED bulb on the driver side, huge difference and this was taken on low beam.

Big difference!! Those look like they're the driving lights. Do you have a shot of the halo with the replacement bulb? I'd love to see that.

image.jpgI know I've shown too many pics of this grill surround already but I finally have it done and I'm bringing it to the fibreglass shop tomorrow. Any further sanding will have to be done to the gel coat. I can't believe how many hours I have in this thing. I'd never make a dime if I were in this buisness. The pro's must really move!!

Wow that is so Cool *-:) You are so talented Sir!B-) Regards Lars DK73
Thanks Lars, but I still make plenty of mistakes. I'd already have this grill surround in my hands if I didn't use the wrong primer. Two part epoxy primer is needed so that it doesn't react with the mould release. Live and learn.

Can't wait to see the finished grill.. Have you got your gauges by the way? :)
They should arrive in the next few days as a matter of fact.
