In the process of removing the interior carpet and seats mainly to clean up rear floor where the convertible top hydraulics have been leaking. Will be replacing all hoses and cylinders for the convertible top. So the back floor under the rear seat has some very mild surface rust on app. 25% of the floor. I cleaned up all the old padding/insulation which had soaked of hydraulic fluid and broken down. Much of the sealer/putty(?) that was applied at the factory has degraded and just pulls off of the floor. I have cleaned the floor and removed all the crud. I plan on taking a wire wheel to the lightly rusted areas and them spraying this area with some kind of a rust inhibitor/undercoating spray. Any suggestions ? I will be putting down additional padding/sound proofing before I put the new carpet down which has some padding. Thanks
