I came across with a 1972 Q-code auto convertible solid and mostly rust free project but needs body work and paint. Has the original drivetrain. Options include: PDB.P/S Instrumentation group,rim-blow steering wheel a/c power top, competition suspension, convenience group.

I know its hard without pictures but don't have any right now.

What its worth according to this description?

Thanks for feedback

Tough question without pictures and seeing in person. In my humble opinion, probably $6,000 to $8,000 if truely mostly rust free.

4k to 5k

Check it out real good because mostly rust free could be code for Dam there is a lot more rust than I though.

your going to freshen up the drive train so that will cost a few bucks.

Sound good though.

Without detailed picture and condition of the various pieces being assessed, I'd put a hail Mary guess of $6K-$7K. Bear in mind even if everything is there it will almost certainly need to be replaced/reconditioned/restored. It is a well optioned car so it would be worth doing close to stock appearance wise from a financial perspective. A lot depends on how much you can do yourself. You always trade time for money one way or the other. Chuck

Well his asking price is $7,800.00 firm, Have yet to receive pictures but I believe its a little high pricewise....

7,8K sounds like a fair price to me..

As i say in all your threads classicguy, the most important thing is not 1000 dollars more or less in the purchase price but the condition of the car, the rarity if you are interested in that and most important, how nice you´ll feel driving this or that car...

Ask yourself if you really want a vert for example... if that is the car you want, this one seems to be at least, fair to check it out with the money in your pocket in case you like it... you buy it right away....

Ahother thing to consider... i prefer a rusted but accident free and COMPLETE car than a "rust free" shell with half the micelancelous parts of the car missing that is trully imposible to get back as NOS as a complete car might be

Thanks Uruguayan, that was a nice advice and completely agree with you. Belonging to a forum has great advantages specially when asking for opinions!!
