In my intro I said I recently picked up a "set" of 4V close chambers but now have concerns and questions. First of all the casting numbers don't match... After doing some poking around and talking briefly with Pete's Garage, he didn't seem overly concerned. I checked the cc's on both heads and one does have larger chambers by about 4.5 cc's. Is it possible these heads came from the same car or was one of them replaced?
The casting numbers are DOAE-N with a date code of 9M5 and D1AE-GE- 0L12.

The readings I got were much closer to 64 than 74.5 cc on the D1AE-GE so I don't think they're from a Boss motor. We're they machined in the past? The problem is I do not know any of the history on these heads. A guy I see periodically at work said he had a set of close chambers and he's never going to use them, I bought em, that all I know.
What is your opinion on this and what would you do?
I also have 2 questions, 1st, are these heads anything special? (To me, at this stage All 4V's are special). Should I use them in the 73 vert or save them for a different car? "If" there is another car...
Thanks,
Jerry
