73 Mustang Grille Corral

Anybody know what size fastener and where I can get fasteners for the grille corral for my 73 Mustang Grille. Having a tough time finding the right fastener to affix the ring.

Are you referring the the outter or inner chrome piece.

Just had mine apart. It has a couple of hollow studs on the back that go through holes in the grill then it has something pressed into the hollow tube to open it up to hold it in place. Obviously not an easy way to replicate in your garage. What I did was run one of my dies down the stud to threads in the stud and then hold on with a nut from the back.

Theres got to be a fastener for these, I know they sell the repo corrals, they must have something that attaches to

the studs

I reused my original and cutting threads in the pot metal was pretty easy.
