I go with my son every year one day only usually on Saturday. I wear my 7173 hat and shirt, so everyone keep your eyes moving so we can meet. We usually home base at the Marauder tent up on the hill.

I will be there with my buddy and our wives. Me and Tom go to the swap and our wives go downtown, not sure who does more damage to the plastic!

We've been staying at the Carlisle House downtown. Its a great 3 story row house from the 1800's totally restored with 13 rooms all furnished in antiques. Super breakfast and a 5 minute drive to the grounds. They have a nice web site, also private "hidden" parking lot just for guests. Safe, last year there were three '69 Shelby's parked there all weekend.

Nice places to eat within walking distance plus your right in the middle of the downtown cruise.

Drop me an email if you would like to meet.

Looks like the Carlisle House is booked for Friday and Saturday.
Ole Pony,

Just a suggestion, book now for next year....you can always cancel. We always book a year ahead.

Me? My services are for hire! If I registered it is a guaranteed rain out. If I dont....and intend on not going it is guaranteed beautiful weekend and sunny days.

Now then please make your deposits soon to ensure I will elect not to go if you indeed wish to have a good day and enjoy the weekend. If my demands are not met and funds are not adequate, I will be forced to submit my entry.

On the fence about taking the 72 Mach1, FF Cobra or 2004 Mach1 if the weather is not cooperative.

Is anyone going for sure? I have not missed one since the 1st All Ford show started years ago. The picture is from 2002.

My wife and I are going and bringing our 73 Mustang convertible. I hope the weather is as nice as it was last year.

I am like you I have not missed a Ford Carlisle since the beginning.

Last year we were on special display under the striped tent, with the 73, where they had 50 yrs of Mustangs.

But the best year was 2013 when we had our 68 Cobra Jet in building T. Below are a couple pics of the 68. Still has original paint on floor pan...image(58).jpegimage(42).jpegimage(59).jpeg

I'll be there again this year. I don't think I've missed one in 15 years. Going Friday and Saturday. Seems like Sunday keeps getting worse for vendors and cars. Everyone is picking up and leaving on Saturday afternoon. I don't think they should even charge to get in Sunday anymore.

i'll be going. I hope to take the 65 fastback but it looks like the 94 gt conv will win the fight right now.

I go every year. It's the only Carlisle event I go to. The spring summer and fall shows should just be called corvettes at Carlisle. This year I am going on Friday instead of Saturday. Trying something different I suppose.

I wish there was something like this a little closer to me. Thats not too far, but still 7hrs away. Do you guys actually drive your cars that far a distance? I have only driven my car for an hour straight, it runs great, but they are still old cars.

Is this like one giant cruise in, or do you HAVE to enter your car in a show to park it there?

I have only been to cruise nights so far. I don't know how car shows work?

I went last year and had a grand time but the Green Queen stayed home. I would love to bring her sometime but not this year as all my vacation time is booked and I won't be able to attend at all. Then nice thing about Carlisle is it only seems to get bigger and better so next year I'm planning on it.

I drove my Mach 1 out last year and it was a 5hr drive. Getting a whopping 7mpg! Spent a small fortune on fuel but it was FUN! I went with my parents and their 66 and my nephew and his 74.

To get into the grounds with your car you have to enter and register. otherwise you cant get your car in the gate. Then they park you in your designated area and you a free to roam around and enjoy the show. Well worth the trip!

I do not take my car. I usually spend more time looking at the "swap" part of this event, so my F150 is more useful.

This a very large event. You can not see it all in one day. Also wear comfortable shoes as a large section of cars on display are up a tall hill. More grass than blacktop.

On Saturday night the town of Carlisle shuts down, streets are blocked off, no parking allowed on the street as well. The police provide an escort for all the car owners who want to drive their car from the show to downtown. People line the streets to see the parade. Once downtown, the cars are parked in the center of the streets or along the curbs. The local bars / restrurants have outdoor seating with bands playing outside while people walk up and the streets looking at the cars. A fun, laid back atmosphere.

You can be on the showfield all weekend for $55 if you register by May 5th. There is no point in paying $25 for the weekend because you will have to pay to park in someones yard of walk several blocks to the show and spend $$ on a hotel. Friday is a good day to check out the swap meet, vendors and exhibits as it is not as crowded. Saturday is very busy with 2,000 plus cars. Sunday thins out early and vendors start packing up and the show awards are handed out. The whole show is popular vote. I walk around and look at the cars but "judging" takes a long time. I've been to every one since the 1st All Ford show so I know what I want to see and can do it in one day. The "parade" is ok, but you sit parked for an hour or more and drive downtown and park and there are bands. I did it a few years and it's ok. The cruise on Friday is worth doing and starts at CJ Pony Parts in Harrisburg and they drive to Carlisle. I've done it about five times and it is okay but the cars get pretty spread out. So, as a newbie I'd pay the $55, go Friday and Saturday and unless you car stands out skip Sunday unless you do the parade. There is an autocross on Sunday that is $20 extra which was quite fun actually but not a lot of people take part or watch - it's on the backside of the grounds near the highway. It is a good show and a lot to take in. I wish there were more evening activities on Friday night besides the Drag racing at a track nearby that seems to get rained out every year. Have fun.

List is growing for members going. I would love to meet other members this year.. Maybe we could meet. I will be there on Saturday. How about anyone who wants to meet be at CJ's tent at noon.
