Thought you disappeared! Welcome back. My map light is still working great!
I bought the one from the cougar with the intention of taking the electrical wires and hookups to use on the part that I designed. The cougar map light assembly was about 2 inches short of the empty space and did not have a switch. I designed the part after that part so I could use the electrical clips and from what I can tell its very similar to the mustang on the inside. I did upgrade the bulb to an LED and then the designed part included a spot for the switch that I chose. Hope that makes senseDo I understand you correctly that you bought one from a 71-73 Cougar because you didn't have one? Or does the Mustang version not lend itself to a bulb upgrade?
So if I have one already, seems I just need to change the switch and leds.
