73 mustang baby blue with clevo 351
Hey all, my 73 was originally a 6 cyl but now running a 351. I’ve upgraded the front brakes to discs. Now want to install a 9”

What measurements am I needing to check to confirm for example if this Australian ford falcon one will fit?

Housing bearing flange to flange distance (my reference shows 61.25 inches). Spring perch location and angle will matter as well. Chuck
My reference shows the same value except its drive-axle to drive axle flange (the surface the drums will contact) and subtract 5" for housing flange to flange.

My own 72 measurements were the following:
Housing flange to flange: 55.75"
Drive Axle flange to flange: 60.75"
Perch center to center: 43"
Perch width (lateral) 2.5"

I've been contemplating the same if I can find a 9" that is already geared closer to what I want. Current axle is 8" with 2.75's.
