How cold does it have to get before that happens? Here in GA, where it barely ever gets below 30F, I've never seen that even start to happen.

It was around 3F the other day when I took those pics. Warmed up to 17F in the attached photos here. You can see the curvature has lessened, they've gone from pointing forwards to only flared out perpendicular.
