first startup ignition problem

Getting power to distributor but still no spark. I'm guessing the pickup module is done?

Sounds like the module in dizzy. I know when I fried my coil a couple years ago it took out the module also.

module failure is fairly common and certainly sounds like the problem

I'm gonna test the module. I did notice the little piece in the cap that cones down from coil point to rotor broken and laying in my dizzy. So o bought a new cap as well


I have the power filter in line that's supposed to protect module

Well that would potentially account for your current problem
