Hydraulic clutch Porblem 460cid Need Help

Hey all

I have a problem with my semi Hydraulic setup.

I bought it from cnc.

mastercylinder: 3/4 inch

slavecylinder: 7/8 inch (i think)

clutch: zoom hp series

engine: 460cid engine

car: Beastly 73 Mustang Mach1 (pictures added)

Problem:

I bleeded the system like the devil.

I bleeded it only with screw and without any special tool.

After installing on the engine i realiced that the slavecylinder seems to be to weak. Just like if the brakefluid is be pressing together.

I pushed it only with the hand and i am not a weak one.

After that i pushed it without the cylinder and only with my hands and a longer stick. The clutch is working.

I also looked that the resevoir is on the highest place.

What do I wrong?

Is air in the system?

Do I use the wrong brakefluid (dot4)?

Wich brakefluid do you use, wich work for 100% ?

any other problem?

Please halp me that i can ride my stang like my girlfriend ^^

Is the bleeder pointing up? You may not be getting all the air out of it.

If where you are bleeding is not the highest point in the system it will not work. Chuck

reverse flow bleeder? its a good set up if the bleeders are the type that will allow you to do it that way.

Is the hose good? A soft hose will expand when you press the clutch. I agree, the reverse bleeder will work better, and make sure all of the air is out of the slave and line.

I used a vacuum pump and sucked the fluid back through the reservoir on mine. That was what finally got mine working. Sounds like you have air in the lines to me.

Wich Brake fluid do you prefer?

If the flexible hose is soft it will get bigger (longer and bigger around) when you push the clutch in, instead of all of the pressure going to the slave cylinder. DOT 4 is good fluid, although I have better results with silicon fluid for hydraulic clutches.
