new rear look

I believe that the most ugly part of the 71-73 is the rear tail lights.

Using these LEDs designed for a 2005-9 and custom aluminum Billet frames over them make for a very interesting and retro look.

I Like the tail lights on my car, If I wanted the new look tail lights I would buy a new one, OH wait I did.......... But still like my old ones. But everyone has their own opinions

I like LED's, but the clear lens look a little ricer to me. But I respect other folks modifications. Are you going to convert your tail lights?

When I got my first car (73 mach 1) 32 years ago the tail lights were one of things I didn't 'like' as much as the rest of the car.

It was a real departure from the earlier models and nothing like the shelby versions of the previous body style.

But they have grown on me to the point where I really like them now. I like what some of the guys have done putting LED's in ours and lighting up the middle lens.

I like the front, other than putting round projectorhead lamps and LED turn signals in, I will keep it the same.

The rear is getting a complete resto. With aluminum Billet rear light assembly.

The Mustang name is being changed to KigerStang since this is the name of the restomod.

Ill have pics up of the wheel tubs and new rear frame rails soon. Taking longer than I was hoping.

Are you planing on retrofitting projectors in the headlights or buying a crappy ebay projector H6024 conversions kit?

They make both a chrome and black version. I want to see them for real first. I have a lot of time before I get to that stage of the resto.

Those would be a good starting point for a retrofit because they already have clear lenses. This is only my opinion, it's your car do what ever you want to it.

Yeah kind of, that's because the projector he used was too big.

I would sacrifice Q left testicle for outstanding headlights.

I remember in driver's ed how they told you not to outrun your headlights. I said if that was the case no one would ever drive over 35mph.

In Virginia they reject HID in cars that didn't come with them from factory on safety inspections.

Oh you want a halo look, that would look sweet you can get a set of those and then retrofit them, if you want.

HID headlights can be a BIG safety problem is not installed properly. There's a kid down the road who put some HID headlights on his civic along with a fart muffler, if you meet it at night it totally blinds you, all you can do is try and stay in your lane, then all of sudden you hear the muffler farts as it goes by.
