Is that a good idea, on the drivers side, to point the exhaust right at the fuel line/pump?

Any chance you could rig up a short exhaust pipe?

It's not pointed at the fuel pump it only looks like it from that angle. I'm going to tie the fuel line out of the exhaust path once the new pump is installed.
