Rust treatment of 73 front bumper reinforcement

This sucker is a large part and mine is very rusty. How did you guys treat the rust? I was thinking chemically, but do you apply treatment, wrap with stretch wrap, or ? Thanks for the ideas and experiences. Steve

Make a trough with some 2 by lumber and sheet plastic. Fill with Evaporust or a phosphoric acid based product.

Ok, so don’t wrap after applying the rust treatment, make a pool for it, got it.

Pretty much. Depending on how much juice you want to invest in will dictate how full you make it. Cover the part with a thin plastic sheet regardless, to keep it wet.
