seat cover recommendations...not re-upholstery, just a cover

my 73 mach 1 seats are in good shape, but they are also black vinyl and I don't have AC in the car yet.  when its 100 degrees out, that vinyl gets pretty warm.  can someone recommend a seat cover that fits well over the factory vinyl?  I'm not quite ready for sheepskin covers although the retro vibe is cool....i'd prefer something that is more appropriate to the Mach 1 than a Carhart type work truck seat cover.  thanks

Might be difficult to locate that are tailored to fit the seats. Do a google search and see what comes up. The old wooden beads are also a good breather.

googling only returned new upholstery.

Find a local Upholstery shop to stitch one up for you.  Custom, correct, and you get to pick the quality of material.

Also they will make sure you are happy with it before you leave.  Web sites don't do that.

I googled and there’s quite a few choices, even cj Pony Parts has some. Although they look pretty cheesy.

I ordered the tri-bar Mustang seat covers from CJs. They were like big beach towels with an elastic strap to hold them on to the seat.

I sent them back.

good call on the tri-bar, but the 73 mach 1 seat is a tall seat without a separate headrest. how is the fit?.

fortunately these covers "Will Not Compromise Airbag Deployment"....which is very important in a 73 mach 1....lol

Sorry, just saw this post. My Grande also has the deluxe seats. The tri-bar beach towels were long enough to fit over them. They just looked cheap.

I wound up just buying a generic set from Auto Zone. They also look cheap, but actually were cheap.

I know what you mean, but 'm trying to hide this until I can afford to replace the upholstery and foam.
