Ok guys, I took on a simple easy to replace the door lock knobs and the window winder knows.

Problem 1) unscrewed old plastic lock knob and new shiny chrome one won’t screw on?

Problem 2) how the heck do you remove the old knob off the window winders?

Yeh cheers that’s for new winders. I’m just replacing the knobs with blue ones to match my trim.

I really have no idea as I've not had to try to remove one, but I'm thinking they maybe a snap-on deal. Can you see a snap ring or clip on the back side of the knob? If I were designing that part, I'd want it to be an easy assembly on the production line.

The knob on the left is the replacement, the one on the right is the original and below is the 73 crank. You can see the protrusion that stops the knob from fitting on the crank. I don't know what could be done to get it to work.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. Complete new winder handles I think will be best bet.
