Windshield difference Coupe / Fastback

Hey guys and gals - my first post and it's because I messed up. Broke the windshield in my 71 Boss that I have had since 1975. In looking for a replacement - they say the coupe and convertible windshield is different than a fastback. Can someone tell me the difference, I am going to Carisle, Pa next seek and would hate to bring home a windshield that will not fit. Thanks MITCH351 Bristol, Tn

The height of the windshield is different from top to bottom. The sportsroof windshield is shorter. If you look at the etched label on the window, it'll have the NAGS number incorporated. Sportsroof is W800, coupe/vert is W801

Wow! with an original BOSS 351, I'd want a genuine Carlite windshield, not a repop.

Yep, there's a difference in height. When you pick up your new windshield, unpack it and pull the tape off of the outer round foam packing. Be careful in general as these windshields are pretty flimsy. I received 3 damaged on the same corner underneath the packing. I still to this day think they received a batch of broken windshields from China and used the broken ones for insurance write offs.

That's perfect thanks so much. Yes Kentucky Mustang is closer. But at Carisle there is 80 acres of nothing but Ford cars and parts.

Thanks for the information, you may see a vendor or two at Carlisle that have some OEM Carlite Windshield's for the 71-73 Mustang's, I do have a Coupe, it is a one owner, so I'm trying to put it back to as close as possible Original.
