A friend sent me a couple bottles of wine, I had to sign for it.

Contained alcohol, Oh my!  AmmoMan.com sends 2500 rounds

and drops it at my doorstep, no signature no presence nothing.

Apparently they find alcohol more dangerous.  Go figure.

Sound pretty silly to me. Is it state or federal regulation requiring the signature? As for the Ammo Man deliveries, you may want to keep that on the down low or Mr. Brown may send his "boys" to visit you. Chuck

I thought it was the US Congress that has the power to regulate inter-state commerce. It seems most of the elected officials in California want to pick and choose which laws they will follow and which ones they will not. More disturbing to me is the fact that the Federal government has allowed them to do so, up to this point. Enjoy the wine and the ammo but, not together. Chuck

While I was living in China you could order your whiskey online. I would order CC and it would come the next day and always included a new shot class with each bottle. There was no age checks, no verification online, no signature, no questions.

Their delivery system in China was amazing not like Fed X or UPS. There were little mom and pop stores all over town and they would get a truck load of packages dropped off on the sidewalk. They would have people on their three wheel bikes and scooters do the delivery. About everything came in one day I ordered.

Everything in the U.S. is now a knee jerk reaction and never thought out as to what it takes to do or what it costs or what the results will be.

I use to order all my ammo also but have not had time to do any shooting since I retired, lol. When you retire there is never enough time.

When I went to Africa I took muzzle loader but they would not allow you to take the powder or primers, that sucks. Black powder in Africa was like make by very old receipt and was lousy and took lots of work to get a single pound can. I kept bugging the U.S. powder manufacturer's because I would see them hunting in Africa and it was obvious not using black powder, Jim Shockey. I cannot disclose how you do it but it is legal and can send private message if anyone needs to know how to get your powder and primers to Africa and be legal and safe.

BTW if I had taken my muzzle loader the day I took my Kudu I would be the current #1 in the record books beating out Jim Shockey by several inches. Just my luck I took the .300 Win. Mag. that morning so it is only #25 with rifle.

That is what is taught these days, you only need to obey laws you like, forget the rest.

Within a two mile radius of where I live, besides Google HQ there are three gun stores.

Oh My!

Do they have crying closets next to the gun stores for those who are traumatized by the mere presence of the gun stores? Chuck

Good question, I don't know.  Will need to visit one of those stores though.

I bought some online ammo by mistake, now need to buy a rifle to use it

in.  Thought I was buying .22 LR but bought .22 WMR, damn, now I need

another rifle.  Could you make a recommendation on what brand rifle?

Perhaps this one, http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/B22G  if you want a bolt gun. They also have a good semi-auto rifle. The round is much under rated for rifles and pistols. Savage is a good bang for the buck (pun very intended) on anything they make. Happy shopping and shooting, again not together. Chuck

Easy Chuck, never mind :goodpost:
Roy, That was the "easy" version but, thanks for the advice. Good to see you here. Chuck
