Folks,
I'm now in the Torino world after selling my 72 & 70, but I'll add a few other recommended upgrades / revisions from my 1st list:
1). Air cleaner (Scott Drake 14X2)
2). Electronic ignition and coil (Pertonix Flame-Thrower Billet II)
3). 1-wire alternator (Powermaster 100 amp)
4). Rocketman’s gauge cluster tach (RCCI Innovations - M7123S)
5). 4 Bbl upgrade: Edelbrock Performer and 1403 Electric Choke carb (500 cfm)
6). 1” front sway bar (Grab-A-Trak)
7). Electric fan (Flex-a-Lite 3000 cfm)
8). Dual exhaust (Flowmaster 40s)
9). PMGR mini-starter, high torque (DBelectrical - SFD0001)
10). Aftermarket radio (Custom Auto Sound USA-2)
--------------------------
New additions:
a). Rear sway bar was mentioned earlier in thread, concur.
b). Night driving upgrades: Self-dimming rearview mirror (with map light) and Halogen upgrade w/circuit on relay to battery.
c). Separate Electric Relay Circuits (Painless wiring) (electric choke, coil, e-fan, radio amp, radio, new gauges, RV mirror, lighter, etc). Keep the load off the old wires & use modern fuses. Can't believe I never went this route earlier.
d). 15x8 & 15x7 Magnum 500 package from CJPonyparts - mounted & balanced, delivered.
e). Modern seat belt (3 point). I got a S Drake to match my Torino's interior. 100X better than the connect-a-belt from my 70 & 72.
f). Procar seats, classic. Reclining & classic look are worth the cost.
g). Air Cleaner - K&N with open element top.
h). 69 Torino came with an AOD. World of difference, truly.
I). H pipe on the dual exhaust
