LOL.... so a neighbor across the street is selling her house to her youngest son since the death of her Azzhat husband (oops didnt mean to speak ill of the azzhat dead guy). Anyway the kid ...bout 30 must have been born with natural coolness, morals and outright goodness beyond what they had to offer. I'd help this kid any day any time.

So... he is getting ready to move in the house. Family friend also dies, leaves him an 88 Dakota with 130k on it. Clean little truck just not cared for....it springs a leak from the water pump.

I look out the window. The hood is up and I see another neighbor nosing around under the hood. I grab a beer an go over. We get him directed in the right direction. We told him it would cost him a case-o-beer...

He's says to us...."yeah I told my girlfriend that I was gonna do a King of the Hill social experiment... I was going to park the truck in front of the house with the hood up and see how long it took you two to come walking out with a beer in hand to help out"

he's a pretty good kid... and dang funny too. yep his experiment worked because between me and the neighbor I believe we have almost every tool needed to build a car.

it was an odd day...suppose to be wiring day. Ended up helping neighbors. In addition to the truck across the street, Young fellow few blocks away bought a 66. A friend knows him, went to help get it started. Called me for a ride a long. Now he's kinda anal and his analysis spans the critique of EVERY wire determining what was wrong. I looked at it 3 minutes, he described the symptoms.... My call was "coil"

He called me 2 hours ago... "you were right"

LOL my partner at work is cut from the same mold as he is. He has to factor in and check every variable then think it over, which is great sometimes, before making a cal. I go in head first to many time I guess.

Hey Racerx....note you're a neighbor. So the neighbor across the street had time to get there and remove the cap from the radiator. That gave me time to go to the garage an get a refreshment...
