Where does the wire that comes off the shifter plug in?

Typically it goes to a female bullet plug, large in diameter, in the gang of plugs on the headlight harness. This gang of plugs include the oil/coil/water temperature lines, neutral safety switch/back up lights, etc.

look in the area of firewall just to the left of m/c. there are 2 plugs with multi wires and mine has a single female wire among them.
