Taillight panel top edge

Hey folks,

I noticed today that the top edge of my new taillight panel was not bend like the original was:

I guess I have to bend the top edge myself to match the trunk corner so that the weatherstrip will fit. What would be the best way to do so?

Had the same issue. I used a block of wood and a mallet to knock it down a bit. You may need to do the full length, as I found that mine would contact the underside of my trunk lid. Just work your way down the length of the panel.

Here are a couple pic of an original. Gasket in place so you cannot see much. Note the bend in the channel for gasket on R.H. side. They were not perfect when new.

How can they forget about these things in the factory? pffff
