Upholstered the passenger seat and the rear seat. It's not perfect, but that's not a surprise since it's the first time I've done this. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Going to work on the driver seat back tomorrow and hopefully next weekend weld up the driver seat bottom.

Front seat looks perfect! If you worried abou the wrinkle in the rear, some on this sight might recommend an extra inch. (foam that is)
LOL are we starting that again!?!

Yeah I thought about that but I had already put the upholstery on...and I'm not putting myself through this again if I can help it.

BTW guys, thanks for the compliments.

Bummer of bummers... Summit doesn't expect the headers in until June 17th... which kinda throws the possibility of actually starting it on Memorial Day weekend under the bus.

Oh well - I can always hang headers in the driveway. Would've been easier on the lift, but it's still doable.

I painted the convertible top frame. Pieced together a replacement bolt for the top bow that had gone missing. I will be taking it to the shop next week for a new top. Pics to follow...

Thanks! It was a huge PITA but I think worth it in the long run. Somewhere down the road I might pay to have the front seats professionally re-done, but I'm building it to be a driver not a show car so little things that are wrong here and there don't bother me so much.

Besides that, it adds a little character.

Finished up the driver seat back today. Much better than the passenger seat, still not perfect though. That damn foam! It's close to the original, but not quite the same which makes it difficult.

Set them in the sun the wrinkles will disappear

Good tip, guys. I'll give it a shot whenever the freaking sun decides to come back out. It's been like 3 days of clouds!

Remember, I'm in Colorado now. I'm spoiled with sunlight.

I pulled the engine & trans out of the 73Q. I also dug out a set of int quarters I promised Steve to go with his nice new black seats.
