Started the morning stripping the frame connectors and then getting the car supported so I could drop the front of the rear springs to mark where I need to cut my floor before welding them in. Bill stopped over and convinced me to come watch the race this evening. Great freind! ;)

These things are doing their best to try my patience. First after reading the fine print "must use formed frame rails with weld in connectors" with nbo part numbers. Call Summitt. They never heard of them. Called Competition Engineering and they are a complete rear frame rail replacement for an additional $240. Now mind you they don't have any anymore and aren't going to make anymore but...."I'm sure if you look at some speed shops you'll find a set"

Told him I wasn't interested in replacing the entire frame of the car since I did that last spring and just wanted to connect MY frames. So now I'm adapting to make them work. Sheeesh!

Finally got to put some miles on it !:) Wow does this new motor pull strong :D I had just 200 miles on it before tonight, and I really drove it pretty hard for the first time since the rebuild. Can I say that I am more than pleasantly pleased !! :D:D:p Jumping from 300 H.P. to 420 H.P. HELL YEA !!!!!:p:p

cool, its looking good! keep it going!

got my new steering wheel today so i mounted it.. and did some work on the headlight buckets.. gonna mount those later this week

If you feel the earth shake under your feet sometime today. One of two things happened. The PS frame connector was completed or, the amout of thrust I used to send it into the wall caused the earths spin to momentarily stop.

hey guys, tore out he a/c box and removed heater hoses. Decided I wanted a non a/c car. Discoverd a huge rust hole near the cowl. Picking the engine apart trying to figure out what needs replacing or just cleaned up. Removed charcoal canister and vacuum canister for cleaning and paint.

Just another day

Well it's back on all 4. Installed the rear axle back in and pulled it down off the crazy roller thing.:D I would have to say the crazy roller thing worked well.
Coming along well!

Finished up the frame rail connectors today. Then finished off preparing to paint the rear end. Found a small hole in the PS rear behind the seat and Oh. well! normal.

Got lots of parts in yesterday: radiator, fan shroud, fan spacer, calipers, rotors, master cylinder, proportioning valve, rear brake hose, Duraspark conversion wiring harness, and some other various mounting kits and stuff.

Discovered that am missing: banjo bolts for the front calipers and the 'rod' for the trunk lock/latch mechanism (I received several months ago).

Today, I cleaned up the brake booster and painted it (hoping it's still good, despite everything), 'blasted the brake pedal assembly and painted it, cleaned up and hammered the front brake dust shields back into the right shape ('blasting and painting to commence tomorrow), and came up with a small list of things I still need to complete the brakes and front wheels.

Tomorrow, I should be able to get pretty much everything done with the brakes (except connecting the front hoses to the calipers), install the radiator, fan shroud, and hoses, and hopefully make some progress on the electrical harness.

washed, waxed, polished, vacumed and generally prepped it as well as I could for my club's big mustang show tomorrow (300+ cars)

finished the grille/headlight covers on it.. i think it looks pretty good..

After running out of seam sealer I thought I'd just make some more work for myself. Anybody know if you can get a shackle at the local car parts store?
