I purchased this core to build for my ‘73 vert. The seller said it was out of his ‘69. My eyes are not the greatest anymore, but not that bad. I just can’t make out the first or last digits. Can anyone else make it out? Looks like 2K16 to me. Definitely can see the K and 1, but that’s it. Don’t think it is a 69 casting though.

I would have gone with S for the last digit. No idea if thats even a valid one, but it looks like an S to me.

Looks like 0K16 to me.

Ford *sometimes* added two small dots under 0's in date codes so they weren't mistaken for O's. I can't find a better picture but this is 0 (with the dots underneath) G8:

I could definitely believe that the first digit is a "0" if it has those two dots below it. I thought that it looked really funny, and thought it was just some bad casting. So, if that is the case, then this can't be out of a 69 as I was told by the seller. It would have been a production date of "K" November / 1something / 1970?
