This is a few things I have done with it. The fender is aluminum from a hailed out f150. I had the railroad track in the shop. I just did the Backhalf of a 90’s s10 pickup frame yesterday
Very nice. Any warpage on body sheet metal?

You can get warpage if you don’t have it set right and take your time. I have done the bottom side of hoods with great results. I did a bronco hood that was coyote swapped and the interior completely done but they left the outside patina alone and it didn’t warp or discolor the outside paint at all. The bronco was done for the creator of the tv show the black list who is from here

Been playing in the dirt the last couple weeks. Currently at nine triaxles of fill so far.

This is what I started with in May. Six dumpsters of brush and past-it's-prime firewood went away.

The other side of my yard was 25 triaxle loads of fill, plus another 5 of topsoil. I have a big pile of topsoil that I stripped off so hopefully I won't need any. I think I'll be at 2 loads of 1 1/4 process for the base and 3 of 3/4 for the topcoat. Then it gets to sit over the winter and settle.

Cut concrete in my basement and dug out the 100+ year old dirt to add a bathroom in the basement. Having two daughters is driving this project.

Next up will be tying into the 100+ year old cast iron. Going to be blast trying to get the old lead and oakum joint apart.

Dragged this home last night and then spend $40 blasting off the years of nastiness. 1972 Country Sedan 400-2V, C6, tilt, air, dual facing rear seat, power locks. Very rust free, but like many southwestern cars, the interior is well worn. I jokingly told my daughter it'd be her first car, now she's all about it.

Pretty cool. Funny that when I was young, I wouldn’t be caught dead in a station wagon, but now I wouldn’t mind having one. A car show recently had a really nice falcon 2 dr wagon. Have fun with your new toy.

Back in the day those Ford wagon dual facing rear seats were "thee" place to sit as a pre teen in the late 1960's. Sitting way, way back there we could have all the fun while the adults were way up front !

This past weekend I intended to go to the Mustang Steve “Bash” in Bakersfield CA. Things came up at work that squashed that, but I was able to make a cannonball run to the Chico Concurs show in my 67’ Toyota Stout on Saturday. A little over 300 miles round trip. My pickup is the “revival” white one. Lots of wild rides in Chico. Rain hampered the car show a bit but I was glad to be there.IMG_6543.jpegIMG_1649.jpegIMG_1648.jpegIMG_1660.jpegIMG_1650.jpegIMG_6553.jpegIMG_6550.jpegIMG_6546.jpeg

I've got too many irons as well, but this was too hard to pass up. Now the 71 Squire has a friend.

@basstrix Those base '72 Torinos are really hard to find, seems everyone wanted the Gran Torino with the fishmouth grille. There's a 72 Q-code 4 speed Gran Torino Sport locally that's been wasting away in a side yard. Unfortunately, by the time it gets sold off the only thing that'll be any good is the drivetrain.

If I recall you previously owned a 1970 Stang (Boss)??
Never a 70, but a 69 Boss 302 and a couple 69 Mach 1s. I would've liked another Boss but I can't justify how expensive they are, at least for my budget. Besides, the AC in this car will be nice through Texas summers!

Wow Sheriff, congratulations, the 70 looks great! The 69 & 70’s are amongst my favorites.
As I’ve mentioned previously, I was wanting to build a garage addition, but the quotes I was getting were too expensive, and some contractors didn’t even respond. Well, finally found a contractor, got the plans drawn up for an attached 4 bay (48x30) addition, and submitted to the county on Friday. It’s going to have 12’ ceiling height, one pass through bay, hvac system, reinforced pad, matching architecture to the existing house, stucco finish, 5 insulated steel garage doors with openers, concrete apron, a gravel roadway around the backside, and dirt work to level another area of my property. Also included is having to relocate a buried 1000 gallon propane tank and the septic leach field. Framing will be 2x6 on 16” centers. Electrical will include dedicated hvac, air compressor, and welding circuits. Also a water line. One thing I did not include was insulation and drywall. I can do that myself after I install airlines and water line. When all is done I will have a total of 7 bays. I am also planning to install a dannmar d412a alignment rack. Total cost including tax is 146k. Hopefully it should be completed by February or March.

Nice. I tried to buy a 70 H-code Mach in Bright Yellow as my first car - which my parents ixnayed. $750 for a mildly rusty driver in 1987 money.

Dropped the 71 XR-7 off at the mother in-law's house for the winter. Picked up a 69 Ford XL from the same guy I bought my 71 Country Squire from. Have plenty of projects for the winter now....

I think I have a problem...

You and me both. My project for the past month is like #9 in the yard. 73 nova. Its got a pretty good pedigree as far as what all options it came with from the factory. Currently sporting a 6.0LS with a cam, spicy transmission with a transbrake, holley computer, 4-link currie rear with a ford 9", wilwood brakes, coilovers, 3" stainless exhaust with headers and x-pipe. It ran 12.2 with a pretty conservative tune. I think with some seat time and some tuning, this same combination of parts could get down into the upper 11s.

I've spent the past month just fixing little things to make it more of a daily driver. Stuff like the wipers, horn, and interior lights.
