My Car
a '72 mach 1 convertible
So here we go... getting started, slowly.

This is the car before I bought it... so this is the first set of "before" pics.

It has the Mach 1 package added (didn't come that way from the factory, I know).

It does NOT have the ram air, even though a previous owner put the "351 Ram Air" stickers on it.

The plan is a full strip down, rust repair where needed, then a full reassembly, cleaning/replacing/rebuilding parts as needed, with a repaint.

Step 1 is drilling out the trunk lock...

Crazy!

Fun!

I would caution you on removing the door panels and rear side panels. With the P.W. option there are two clips that retain the chrome bezel on the 71 72 cars. Those need to be released so that the chrome bezel comes off before trying to remove the door panel. They are not repo and very expensive.

Do not toss anything ever. Some parts you just cannot find. Looks like PO took lots of creative adds to the car for sure.
