As you may remember (or not) I have an 85 BroncoII with a 68 302 in it.

This 302 has been on borrowed time for around a decade now. What I mean by that, as after I picked up this motor, I found out the previous owner lost an oil line, and then drove it home. So, I ended up doing a crank and bearings in it, but never did the valve train, other than adding some comp roller tip rockers. Anyway, over the last few years, the lifters have clogged up with sludge, and a few stopped sending oil to the rockers. So I worked a deal with a friend and picked up a 89 broncoII that had a 94 5.0 HO from a mustang already swapped into it to get the engine and fuel injection to swap into my rig.

I harvested the engine yesterday.

That's awesome. I love a nice bronco II. I had an 89 BII that I swapped in the entire drive train from a 76 bronco into it. 302, c-4, dana20, 9 inch rear. It was fun !! What trans are you running in yours?? Looks like a fun project. If you were closer I would take that 89 off your hands!!!

I am running a C5 auto out of an 84, with C4 V8 valve body and servo. It has the factory 290,000 mile borg warner 1350 t-case, which I am swapping to a newer 1354.

I got about 95% of the wiring pulled today.

That's definitely cool! I was always worried about the c5. I had a pretty healthy 302 with a little over 300hp and 35" super swampers on mine, figured I would break the c5. I loved the dana 20 out of the older broncos they seemed bullet proof. And it was cool to run the twin stick on the t case. Since your in WA, do you ever get any parts from Duffs?? I spent a small fortune on stuff from them over the years. They have a nice fitting set of headers for the 302 swap. Keep the pics and updates coming would love to see the progress on the BII!!!

Heres a few pics of mine after I traded it for my Mustang. They have won a few 1st place trophies with it! I sure do miss that thing!!! Been trying to get him to sell it back to me for a couple of years!!! LOL

Got the wiring out, and fuel lines today. Shoved it out of the shop. Back to the Mach.
