Looks great. Just a quick tip. Those flat brackets paint very nice if you hang them from a metal coat hangar or stiff wire. No fear of the cardboard sticking when you flip them over to paint the back side.It ain't much, but it did take 5 hours... Pulled the brackets off the core engine, stripped them bare, and got some paint on them. Ended up stripping them because someone painted them (badly) with hammerite or another epoxy paint. Replacing my original brackets because they were chromed at some point and are rusting.
Yeah, it weeped. I took a grinder to the gasket surface to make it flat, and will ditch the o-ring for a gasket.Looking great!! Have you used the chrome thermostat housing before? In my experience they tend to not seal well. We have typically removed the chrome from the sealing surface on a belt sander.
