Hang on just a cotton pickin finger lickin minute... I cant see jack shit out of my rear glass at the best of times ... I don't think I would notice Angelina Jolie in "Y" shape,  fingering herself over my rear tailgate... How in the name of blue F**k can you see anything when the rear glass is covered in plastic?

Heres a pic from drivers seat, looking through my rearview mirror. the louvers aren't too bad at all to see through. And a pic of it from behind. Once you get used to driving it like that, its not bad!

The louvers are metal! All the fingering should be done inside I figured as I was thinking about doing the rear view camera for $20 at least for backing up , as far as changing lanes-good luck everyone else!

Don, Sir... apologies to correct ...but that is his original "Grabber Green" #5002 in the Ford colour chart.  

Boy what an ass I've become since getting this car :huh: .. I get to buy one of these beauties and it's turned me into a pedantic putz. ..sorry  ::thumb::

Finished up the "back half" restoration on my truck. Cleaned out all the junk that accumulates over the years and gave it a proper bath. almost like driving a new one now. Changed the plugs and wires that were original '07 parts with 120k on them. Later in the year I'm going to strip the front end off and have it blasted and will install all new suspension bits as I can feel some play up there, not to mention some of the parts look like they've been resting with the Titanic since 1912. Damn CTDOT and the brine they use for deicing.







 
Removed the dash and heater box.  Broke the drain spout off the box.  Repaired the broken spout with fiberglass.  Replaced the heater core. Reassembled the box.  Re-installed the heater/AC box.

Also.  Bought and distributed 10 bags of wet mulch. Planted 3 plants for the wife. Picked up son from School/Tennis, Took daughter to Volleyball practice.

Had a very busy car weekend. Spent a fair amount of time cleaning up the garage and reorganizing stuff. Replaced the trunk weatherstrip, it had started to come unglued after 13 years. Put a new Carpenter repop in, fit as expected.

Also put the PS pump and pulleys back in to finish up the power steering system. Got it topped off with Type F and took it for a drive. Going to take a while to get used to the 12.7:1 quick ratio box coming from the 5 turn barge steering of the manual box. My town is all windy tight back roads that were a real chore.

Also went to my friend's house today and got his 400 lit off in a 71 Challenger. i's a 71 block with the Trick Flow hydraulic roller cam, aluminum heads & intake, etc. Engine was built by a local guy and it's first pull was at 520hp, he won't tell me the real numbers after they fully tuned it...

I hope you pressure tested the new heater core before you installed. I have found two bad ones right out of the box. One was NOS made in U.S.A..

I did NOT pressure test it.  I was disappointed that the one I took out of the car had leaked, but I did learn something.  I read that the old brass and solder design that came with our cars will suffer galvanic corrosion if siting dry and not being protected by the anti-freeze mixture.  

I bought my replacement as another brass/solder unit from Rock Auto.  I immediately loaded the system with an antifreeze mixture.

How do you do a pressure test on an open unit?

So far today I replaced the 8.2mm plug wires with 7mm wires to clean up the engine bay.

( I have a nice new (1-2 hour run time) set of Accel wires for sale now)

Hoping to get a little more done.
