Transported the remains of a 70 Mach 1 to a friend's house. I've seen him fix some real goners. but this is going to be a challenge. BTW, yes, the tree brach is structural at this point.

I would tackle that challenge! The repop parts are getting better. And with a frame table it wouldn’t be horrible.
I cut front clip off a 66 few years ago.

He's a retired bodyman and we were talking about his plan. He was longing for his old EZLiner, but is going to make a jig out of 2x3 rectangle tube using the factory drawings and pickup points.

Well, I did a lot of things today besides working on the Mustang, ( yardwork, painting a gate, errands...), but the one thing that I've been putting off, is to get the Tunnel Ram manifold down off the shelf, ( It was in a big box assembled with carbs and all ), take it apart, so that I can bring it to work this next week. One of the guys at work has offered to weld up a threaded vacuum hole, put in it by a previous user, and then it's getting sent out for polish. Damned near everything we make at work gets polished, and I have no doubts this tunnel ram will be spectacular. It is slated to mount on my 289 Hi-Po project engine. The end result should recall the glorious trends of 60s hot rodding.

Finally finished (almost...) my long overdue project of replacing all the coolant/radiator hoses on the '08 GT.
208k on it and probably the original hoses, maybe even the original coolant.

Bought everything last year and wanted to stay with as much OEM parts as I could. Got about 90%. Then delay after delay...
In the meantime, I found a guy selling his factory intake manifold (complete with throttlebody, tps, charge motion plate motor, fuel rails and injectors) from his 2010. He did a Roush supercharger swap back in '11 at 10k miles. All this stuff has been sitting in his garage/basement since then.
Plus some other stuff including a 2012 Boss strut tower brace.
$150 later it was all mine.
Then in December, I found another guy....same deal. Only this time it was all parts from a 12k mile '08. Bought what I could, another intake with everything on it including the OEM Powered By Ford intake cover. This guy also had the coolant expansion reservoir and power steering reservoir, too.
$120.

I figured it wouldn't hurt to swap all the low mileage stuff on to my car, since I had to pull all of it off anyway. Maybe by the time I sell off what I don't need, I'll have nearly new throttlebody, tps, injectors, fuel rails, and manifold for nothing. Or even make a little.

Still need to clean a lot more. Maybe find a newer intake snorkel.
I do have an NOS radiator to grille cover but that will wait until I am totally done.

Added a 3 ton mini split to the garage to keep it nice and cool all summer. June has been fairly mild by AZ standards, but it's going to be 115* out here next week, so it was time.

Absolutely! That was one requirement I had when buying a house in Tucson: have the HOA approve a mini-split. Great investment and always cool in the garage!

I took grandson #2 to small Mustang club meet-n-greet fundraiser at a local mom & pop automotive specialty shop that caters to us old guys and old cars. It was a good turnout with a variety of year models representing many generations. Here's a couple shots of some of our favorites.

Do you guys have insulation in the attic and/or walls of garage? I've wanted to add one of these, but I have neither. I added insulation panels to the garage doors this past winter and seems to have helped some.

I first put up insulation on the garage doors, then waited for other insulation to be installed depending upon how much effort the mini-split took to keep things cool. My doors face NNE, so only morning sun heats things up. I decided my electric bills (with solar panels) were good enough not to install additional insulation.

Yes, I have a very, very, heavy duty insulated garage door. It's impossible for 1 person to lift when the opener doesn't work. It's at least a few hundred pounds. I also have insulation blown into the walls and spray foam up in the rafters.

Here's the $66k 1973 Vert 302 Auto with all sorts of incorrect parts all over it. That gap at the hood is terrible also. Had to be 2 drunk guys going after it.

You are so right Big Red…there are so many mistakes on that car, I guess only us would notice anything incorrect. A fool and his money are quickly separated (I guess we all want twice what our cars are worth when we sell, so lucky seller on that one)
