My Car
1973 Mustang Grande 351C 2V, built on the very last production day (July 6, 1973) for Grande's.
Howdy! Today is my Mustang's birthday (july 6 1973). Don't wanna let it go by unnoticed of course ;-)

Before my restoration started it looked good:

The 6th of july is special for my car coz it was the very last day Grande's came off the assembly. Kevin Marti wrote this to me:

This is what it looks like now (actually an old photo, the car looks worse as I'm currently replacing the battery apron...):

I'm restoring it to most of its original specs as stated in the marti report:

I found its original colour underneath the white and I'm planning to bring it back, but not the vinyl top:

My restoration is going slow but I'm still enjoying it very much, still got a long way to go!

Cheers!

Vincent.

Happy birthday to your Mustang! Your resto looks like its coming along well. When you say the car looks worse, remember you need to break some eggs to make an omelet. even though I am a huge fan of white with black stripes, I love the original color you are planning to paint it, that will look great!

Happy 50th birthday to the Grande! I agree the factory Saddle Bronze is a beautiful color. It’s cool your car’s history has such a symbolic connection to the end of the 1973 production run. I can’t wait to see her back in all her glory!
