Interesting way to do the hood

This looks like one of Foose's "normal" shop builds.

I've been to Foose's shop and at the time they were working on the Riddler award winning 65 Impala. He is very much hands on in design and interacting with his crew. When I was there they were figuring out how to shorten a trunk lid nearly a foot and make the bracing look original even though it would be covered. I was truly impressed by him and his craftsmen.

BTW this was built on a late model Corvette chassis using the corvette interior and floorpan. It looked proportionally correct.

Yeah - interesting way to do the hood, indeed.  :chin:

Initially, I was, "No... NO... NO!! - Don't do that!!"  Now, I'm kind of like, "Hmmm - I might need to see it after it's done to decide if I like it or not."

Looking at the quarter panels (having done mine myself), I honestly can't see where he's going to get all that much extra width out of the '70 panels, but again he's not done, so we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm hip to the new fender arches - gotta be consistent front and back, after all.

I like the ones Ford did back in the early 70s. ;)

Of course I could be talking door handles or I could be talking entire car. Personally, I would be PISSED if someone stole my cart and foosed it up.

The original handles look way better than the "modern" handles.

I agree with Eric about the Kindig handles. If I were to change mine that is the way I would go.

I'm kind of liking the way that is coming together in the back except I think the transition from the vertical to the horizontal could have been done a little nicer.

That's wide hip looks really good, I'm sure it will turn out pretty sweet

Wonder if the lights will look too small with all that meat out there
