Thx guys for all the positive comments. Anticipation seeing it with the stripes and panels back on is high. At the current progress rate it's not out of the question that it will be ready by next Friday.

Yeah Travis, I am cleaning up the garage now so that I'll have the room to start putting it all back together. It's barely getting over 32 during the days now but luckily my garage is heated so it won't be stopping me. Next step when I get it back is to fire the beast up.

I also decided to add the traction bars on so they are being modified to add the sway bar mounting points to them so that I don't have to use the plates. Also seriously considering on changing over from Staggard to non-staggard shocks so I don't have the tailpipe issues trying to get one with 2.5 in diameter. The verdict is still out on that though.

Just a quick update. Spoke with the painter and the car won't be done till next Friday. The car body is painted and they are cutting and buffing it now. The top of the hood should be painted now as well as all the misc pieces. I'll be checking with them next week and will update on when I should be able to pick it up. Hoping to have some current pics soon so that I can post. I am not in any rush and the weather is really cold here now so waiting another week is ok.

Went to Oregon today to check on the car. It's almost there and for sure I'll have it in another week or earlier. They just have a few things left to do yet. I am attaching pictures of the car body, door, hood, trunk lid, front bumper and some misc parts. They are still going to buff out the car when everything is assembled again.

I really like the high gloss black hood. It really pops against the white!

Did they use a texture paint on the rear spoiler?

No, we used the same high gloss for all the black pieces. I had considered the matte finish but decided to keep everything the same. The hood, top of the front bumper, front and rear spoiler and the rear window louvers will match.

Started working on the fuel system and misc parts while waiting for the car. I painted the fuel tank using the Eastwood Tank Tone paint and it came out pretty nice. Also refurbished the fuel filler tube and also painted it with the Tank Tone paint. Worked on the door panels and found that they need to be trimmed for the parts to fit properly. I'll get pics of those and the seats when I am done.

Looks real nice! That is going to glisten in the sun. I really do like the white and black combination. Did not know if you were thinking about a sound absorbant between the tank and the trunk floor. I found it to make a difference when I installed it on mine and just tapped on the trunk floor a couple of times. I took 4 sheets of 10x12 roofing felt and glued two sheets together with silicone to hold them together. Each side of the top of the tank received a mat just to the sides of the raised top section. Just something to consider. Project is looking good. I need to update my thread with the engine/tranny install theis weekend.

Talking to the painter later this afternoon to see where we are. My only concern is that its supposed to snow tomorrow and Friday so not sure if I'll be able to pick up the car. Don't want to tow with a tarp covering it and has no windows so I am at the mercy of the weather conditions.

In the meantime I got the seats finished and they are ready to be installed. Couple of pics of the finished seats.

I am hoping to bring her to life by New Years. My exhaust system arrived so I believe I now have everything to reach that milestone. I'll be sure to post a vid of the first start.

First off a big thx to Mike (Hyena429) and his friend Mark with getting the car unloaded and back into my garage.

Had a couple of issues bringing it home and with the decal set that I bought. First on the way home I had a blowout and saw pieces of rubber flying everywhere. Luckily, none of that hit the car. The second was with the decal set. Most of them had creases in them that could not be removed when it was installed. The painter saw that when he put the trunk one on and decided to let me see it when I came over and I totally agreed. I will order a new set from Don at OMS (original set purchased elsewhere) and we will try to finish the striping when the care is completely done. He is going to be out for the holidays and by bringing it home now it allows me to work on it.

As for the paint job I am completely satisfied. I have attached a few shots with it at home including the one decal on the trunk that was put on. My garage ceiling is 10 ft. high and if you look at the hood from the front shot in the black you can actually see what’s on the ceiling. The gloss is amazing!!! Next step is to start it, stay tuned.
